Focus On The Right Things

One of the biggest challenges in pool for me was learning to stay focused on right now. It’s so tempting to think about the score, the match outcome, or those shots that didn’t go my way.

But here’s what you've go to realize: thinking about missed shots doesn’t change them. All it does is mess with your present and your future shots. Letting go of what happened—or what might happen—and just focus on the shot in front of you is a key lesson in pool.

The only shot that matters is the one you're about to take.

When you step up to the table, forget everything else—the misses, the pressure, even the next shot. Just focus on executing this shot the best you can.

  • Breathe
  • Plan
  • Visualize
  • Commit

When you learn to stay fully present, you’ll see the magic unfold: smoother execution, more confidence, and better control. One shot at a time, that's how you win.
