Your stroke is one of the most important things in pool. Being able to send the cue ball exactly to your target is the main factor for being able to make balls consistently.

From time to time I am playing Snooker to work on that. Here you got to trust 100% in your stroke and just push the cue forwards without actually thinking that you have to make the ball.

My stroke is far away from perfect. But Snooker helps me to detect weaknesses and to develop the trust in my stroke and ability to just bring the cue forwards. If you're able to play on a Snooker table I would recommend to try this at least once.

Here is a really interesting statement from Ronnie O Sullivan about that topic:

"You're not actually  aiming at any particular part of the object ball. You just want to make sure you're on line with the cue ball and are hitting through the cue ball."
