When we talk about cue ball control, most people immediately think about spin, draw, or crazy spin shots.
But here’s the thing: in many situations, you don’t need any of that. Often the best way to control the cue ball, is playing the shots simply with the right speed. And when you are able to get the speed of a shot right, the game often becomes significantly easier.
Sometimes the best position comes from a simple center-ball hit at the right speed, paired with a bit of planning ahead. The moment you start thinking just two shots in advance, and match that with the right stroke and tempo, things start to click. The cue ball lands where you need it. The rack flows naturally. You feel in control.
In the new video, I walk through a full 8-ball rack and explain exactly how I approach cue ball control through speed, not spin. I also show you how to adjust your stroke depending on the type of shot you're playing.
